About Julie

I was overwhelmed with the responsibility of motherhood, but deeply desired to nourish and nurture healthy, strong, empowered daughters.  Quickly, I found, that by discovering my inner wisdom I would know how to support and guide a daughter’s journey.  This is my passion.

Henry Beecher Ward describes mothers as so rich, deep, divine, full of soul, power and beauty that God must have laughed with satisfaction at the conception.  Motherhood did not begin this way for me.

Over the past 15 years, I have been gathering information.  While being a full time mother, helping get our family computer business off the ground, I earned a Masters degree in counseling.  After earning my degree, I juggled teaching Life Skills seminars at the nearby college, volunteering as a rape crisis advocate and educator, and pursuing healing coursework with motherhood.  As a survivor myself, I’ve experienced the pain of healing life’s wounds and have experienced the exhilarating feeling of empowerment when coming out on the other side.

In Gratitude

There are many people I would like to thank in helping and supporting this process of launching a website and opening my business.  For the unending support of Brad, Machaela and Miriam, I give thanks.  Thank you to Chris at Cherry Creek Design Group, Ben at Auten Designs, Rhonda, my coach at Bubbling Well, and Sarah Leavitt, my photographer who took the beautiful photos, for being part of the creation of Doorways Coaching.  Finally to my parents and siblings I am thankful.  I would not be who I am today without them in my life.
